“Moments with Morley” #21

We come today to the final “Moment with Morley”.  What beautiful insights into the Scriptures.

Today…

Revelation 22:1-5

The River of Life

1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Morley’s Comments

What a beautiful image, filled with a portrayal of Heaven.  When a minister stands at the grave of a Christian, how wonderful it is that he has a sure word from God, a word of comfort, a word of hope!

Thanks be to God!!!

God bless you Dad!!

I came across your website and am fairly sure this is my great Uncle Morley (married to Trudie). My grandmother was Norma Lawes who died when I was only 5. I am so sorry to hear about Morley’s battle with cancer. Please pass along best wishes from both myself and my father Glen.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Nancy and the family. Mom and I talked about Morley yesterday. I expressed the desire that he would still be with us when I made it home in June (allowing that he wasn’t in pain or distress). I am so sorry that I can not speak to Morley one last time, that I can’t be there for the funeral. I will have a memorial all on my own – or maybe we already did. The strange thing is that our service this morning was about the Lord is Our Shepherd. The music connection that our organist had today was spiritual. He felt there was a somberness this morning about life and death. Ian amazes me sometimes. Blessings
