I can only hope that 2013 will be a better year than it’s starting off to be.
Over the holidays the news highlighted a number of stories, but two particularily caught my attention, and today they both blindsided me.
The first was a story of a boy who was killed while skiing. Even though he was wearing a helmet, he died of head injuries during a fall.
The other was a story of a seven year old boy who was killed when his family’s van was rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver in a Hummer.
Today I learned that the skier was a classmate of the son of friends at our church, and that the seven year old was the son of a close coworker at the client I’m currently at.
Today I don’t want to be at work. I just want to go home and give my family a huge hug.
Matthew 5:4
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”Revelation 21:4
“and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away”
