Well, I think the verdict is in. After five months of “church shopping” I think we’ve finally decided that we’re going to settle into The Bridge. I know many of you have been waiting for our decision so there you go 🙂
Why The Bridge? Not 100% sure, but I can tell you this:
- We like the preaching
- We love the worship
- They seem to have lots of empahsis on small groups and opportunities for study
- They’ve been very friendly (even the ones who weren’t our friends previously)
- … and most importantly… our kids love it — all of them!!
So now, the searching is over for now and the fun of “fitting in” begins.

Church shopping is fun, but I’m glad you found a place everyone likes. Are you going to jump right in and start taking on positions of service, music ministry and such, or are you going to take the break you deserve and likely really need (thinking of all the migraines you post about)? My vote is for the latter!
Well I’m not planning to rush into things, but I have to admit that I AM anxious to try to get back into the music end of things.
Bethany has already gotten herself involved in helping with the Sunday School starting next week (needs to get a few volunteer hours for school this year, and figured it would be a great way to get involved).
We’ll probably seek out a Small Group in the next little while and see where it goes from there 🙂
Yay! I’m so glad that you have found a church. 🙂 You’re all in my prayers. I hope the Bridge is a really good community for you all to get involved in. Miss you all!
Zach 🙂
So happy you have decided to come to The Bridge. Which service will you be attending, would love for all of us to worhsip at the same service.

We HAVE been going to the 11:15am service for the last couple weeks, but Bethany is now helping out in the Grade 3/4 class at 11:15am and so we’ll probably go to the 9:15am service if we can get the others out of bed in time 🙂 We’ve tried the Saturday night service too once, when we wanted to go to London on the Sunday, but in general that won’t work for Tim and Daniel as it would conflict with their work.
So… we’re hoping to make the 9:15am service our “regular” spot 🙂
